Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Price Hike Tipped Ahead of Launch

Samsung is just weeks away from unveiling the Galaxy S26 series, and early signs suggest buyers in Europe may need to brace for higher prices this year.

A new report from Dealabs claims that every model in the upcoming lineup, including the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, is expected to launch at a higher price point than last year. While the increases aren’t dramatic across the board, they do continue a familiar trend of flagship phones slowly creeping upward in price.

Samsung has also started teasing the Galaxy S26 series with the tagline “The new AI phone is coming,” setting the stage for an AI-focused pitch alongside these hardware updates.

Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus: Small Jumps, but Noticeable

According to the leak, the standard Galaxy S26 with 256GB of storage could start at EUR 999. That’s up from the Galaxy S25’s EUR 959 launch price. On its own, a EUR 40 increase may not seem huge, but it pushes Samsung’s base flagship even closer to four-digit pricing becoming the norm.

In rough terms, EUR 999 converts to around ₹90,000 to ₹91,000. These are only approximate conversions and not final Indian prices.

The Galaxy S26 Plus appears to see a steeper jump. The 256GB variant is tipped to cost EUR 1,269, compared to EUR 1,169 last year. That puts it roughly around ₹1,14,000 to ₹1,15,000 when converted directly.

Higher storage options are also said to be going up:

• Galaxy S26 (512GB): EUR 1,199, roughly ₹1,08,000 to ₹1,09,000
• Galaxy S26 Plus (512GB): EUR 1,469, roughly ₹1,32,000 to ₹1,33,000

Again, these INR figures are only for context and don’t reflect official pricing or taxes in India.

The report also claims Samsung may drop the 128GB storage option entirely for the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus in Europe, making higher-priced variants the new entry point.

Galaxy S26 Ultra: Base Price Holds, Higher Storage Gets Costlier

The Galaxy S26 Ultra tells a slightly different story. The base 256GB version is expected to stay at EUR 1,469, the same launch price as the Galaxy S25 Ultra last year.

Converted roughly, that comes to around ₹1,32,000 to ₹1,33,000.

Where things change is at the higher storage tiers. Dealabs claims:

• Galaxy S26 Ultra (512GB): EUR 1,669, roughly ₹1,50,000
• Galaxy S26 Ultra (1TB): EUR 1,969, roughly ₹1,77,000 to ₹1,78,000

Those are significant numbers, even before factoring in local taxes or region-specific pricing strategies.

Why Prices Might Be Going Up

The most likely explanation is rising component costs. Chips, memory, and other key parts haven’t gotten cheaper, and Samsung isn’t insulated from those pressures.

That said, Dealabs notes that the more extreme price hikes seen in earlier regional leaks, such as reports out of Bulgaria, are unlikely to apply across the wider Eurozone. As usual, pre-order bonuses, trade-in offers, and carrier deals could soften the real-world impact for early buyers.

What to Keep in Mind Before the Launch

It’s worth stressing that these are leaked European prices, not official figures. Samsung hasn’t confirmed pricing, and regional strategies often vary significantly.
