Samsung has just confirmed that its next-generation flagship devices will be announced at Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25. Samsung Galaxy S9 and its larger sibling Galaxy S9+ are set to be one of the key launches at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. However, we are still hearing rumors and seeing leaks after leaks about the two devices.

Samsung Galaxy S9 live testing video leaked ahead of February launch

While we somewhat have a fair idea of what the new Samsung device will be offering, now a leaked video (at the bottom) has revealed the design of the upcoming flagships and we now know how the final devices will look like.

Having said that, the video has been posted on China's microblogging platform Weibo and while it a short video it basically shows the touch sensitivity of the device. A test is being carried out on the alleged Samsung Galaxy S9 with a screen protector. The clip which is 10 seconds long doesn't give out much information but we can tell that it is a Samsung device. Look at the navigation buttons.

Meanwhile, Samsung had earlier commented that the Galaxy S9 is likely an iterative update to Galaxy S8, so the new handset won't bring radical changes in terms of design. As such the video also shows similar front panel and the infinity design of Galaxy S9 as compared to Galaxy S8. Interestingly the bottom bezel seems to be slimmer.

But again, as everything seems a little sketchy right now and even though we want to believe it is Samsung Galaxy S9, there is no way to confirm all of this or label it as authentic. We suggest you take this info with a grain of salt, or two.

In any case, whether the video is about the real device or not, the launch of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ is approaching fast. Well, it is only a couple of weeks until we get to see this year's top-Galaxy S series devices.

Some of the past rumors and leaks have suggested that the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ would have an improved iris scanner, fingerprint sensor below its primary camera, be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC or Samsung Exynos 9810 SoC and run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.

Samsung Galaxy S9 is said to feature a 5.77-inch screen whereas the Galaxy S9 will arrive with a larger 6.22-inch screen. The report further reveals, the former will pack 4GB of RAM and the latter will come with 6GB of RAM. Lastly, the Galaxy S9 will be backed up by a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S9+ will be powered by a 3,500mAh. Both the Galaxy S models will most likely come with a 3.5mm headphone jack and other exciting features.
