Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Renders Leak Online, Hint at Slightly Thicker Design and Bigger Battery

Samsung is expected to launch the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 8 alongside the Z Flip 8 and the Z Fold 8 Wide Edition. Recently, the specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 leaked online. Now, an official-looking render has surfaced online, sharing the first look at the upcoming foldable phone.

The leaked renders, shared by Android Headlines in partnership with OnLeaks, offer a full look at the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8. According to the renders, the device will have the same display sizes and overall design, though it could be slightly thicker to accommodate S Pen support.

Moreover, a few upgrades are also expected, particularly to the battery. Reports suggest the device could feature a larger 5,000mAh battery, an upgrade over the 4,400mAh battery featured on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 (Review).

Design-wise, Samsung appears to be sticking with the same look, featuring sharp corners, flat sides, and a prominent camera bump, which is said to measure around 5.5mm in thickness.

The device is tipped to measure 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.5mm when unfolded and 158.4 x 72.8 x 9mm when folded. Without the protruding camera module, the thickness could be around 3.9mm, making it slightly thicker than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.

In terms of display, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to retain the 8-inch inner display and 6.5-inch outer display, and it may still skip the under-display camera technology. Click here to read features and specifications of the Z Fold 8.

As for pricing, last year's Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 launched at $1,999 (around Rs 217,693). The next-gen model is also rumoured to carry a similar price tag, and launch could take place in mid-July.
