Samsung Galaxy S9, Note 9 To Soon Embrace One UI 2.0 Update
Samsung recently began rolling out the beta version of custom skin dubbed as One UI 2.0 to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus devices. Now, the South Korean tech giant is rolling out the update to Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Note 9 devices starting later this week, confirms Samsung's beta operations manager.
Samsung One UI 2.0 Beta Update
The Samsung One UI 2.0 rollout for Samsung Galaxy 10 devices has reached a large geographical base, including India. According to the statement, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 devices will get the One UI 2.0 beta program starting this week. Samsung Galaxy S9 devices will need to wait till next week for the update.
However, the actual date of the rollout hasn't been announced yet. As expected, the first phase of the beta update will begin from South Korea before hitting other countries in the following weeks. The upcoming Samsung One UI 2.0 beta update will be based on Android 10, which has been the case all along.
Samsung says that with the One UI 2.0 update, "users will now be able to enjoy an improved experience when engaging in phone conversations, even in places with lots of background noise." Samsung has reportedly tested the One UI 2.0 update internally for the Galaxy Note 9 and the Galaxy S9. Usually, a widespread update launch will take place once all the bugs are identified and fixed.
Samsung One UI 2.0 Features
The latest Samsung skin iteration brings many changes, which the company calls 'a refined experience'. Some of the updates are linked to a visual upliftment, where Samsung has divided the display of the screens into two, namely the Viewing Area and the Interaction Area. Of course, the system-wide dark mode is another much-awaited feature launched with One UI 2.0.
Apparently, the dark mode will have a wider integration with the One UI 2.0 as more apps are included. What's more interesting is the Live Transcribe feature, which types spoken words in a text format on the screen. In addition, some new features are added for brightness recognition along with options to amplify the ambient sound.
