Samsung’s One UI 7 Update Expected to Reach More Devices in India This Week—Is Yours on the List?
If you're a Samsung Galaxy user, you might want to check your phone's update settings this week. Samsung is expanding the rollout of its One UI 7 update, bringing Android 15 along with a bunch of new features to several Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
The rollout, which began in a few regions earlier this month, is now spreading globally and could hit your device anytime between April 28 and May 4.

Which Galaxy Devices Are Getting One UI 7?
According to Sammy Fans and Samsung Thailand's Newsroom, the One UI 7 update is headed to a wide range of Samsung devices. The list includes:
- Galaxy S23 series
- Galaxy S24 FE
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Tab S9 series
Some of the newer models like the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Tab S10 series have already received the update earlier this month. But now, it's the turn of last year's flagships and foldables.
Tipster @tarunvats spotted Samsung Thailand confirming that the One UI 7 update for these devices would arrive in "late April," which lines up perfectly with this week.
If you're using a Galaxy A-series phone-Samsung's popular mid-range lineup-you'll likely have to wait until June for the update. Samsung tends to prioritize its flagship devices before rolling out new software to the mid-range and budget models.
What's New With One UI 7?
One UI 7 isn't just a simple Android update. While it's based on Android 15, Samsung has layered on its own design touches and features. The standout addition? A feature called the "Now Bar"-it sits on your lock screen and offers live updates, like weather conditions or notifications, at a glance.
Samsung is also bringing more Galaxy AI tools to the table, including Writing Assist and Drawing Assist. These features are designed to make your phone feel more like a productivity partner, helping you draft messages or annotate images with ease.
On the visual side, you can expect:
- A vertical-scrolling app drawer for easier navigation
- Redesigned icons for a fresher look
- Large folders on the home screen
- Enhanced widget customization options
- Refreshed designs across Samsung's core apps
Security hasn't been left behind either. One UI 7 comes with the April 2025 security patches, giving your device an extra layer of protection against emerging threats.
A Few Early Hiccups
No software rollout is perfect. Earlier this month, a small group of Galaxy S24 users reported a lock screen glitch after installing One UI 7. Fortunately, Samsung quickly acknowledged the issue and released a fix, allowing the rollout to continue.
If you're planning to install the update, make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has at least 50% battery. The update is fairly large-around 5GB-so it's best to download it when you're on a stable connection.
To check if it's available for your device, head to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
