Samsung Planning to Roll Out Monthly Security Updates for its Devices
The South Korean tech giant, Samsung has recently announced that it will release the Android security update process that fast tracks known security patches over-the-air (OTA) to all devices.

Dong Jin Koh, Executive Vice President and Head of Mobile Research and Development Office, IT & Mobile Communications at Samsung Electronics, said, "With the recent security issues, we have been rethinking the approach to getting security updates to our devices in a more timely manner."

He added, "Since software is constantly exploited in new ways, developing a fast response process to deliver security patches to our devices is critical to keep them protected. We believe that this new process will vastly improve the security of our devices and will aim to provide the best mobile experience possible for our users."
Moreover, the company will release security updates for its Android phones and tablets every month. As of now, the company is yet toget the approval from the carriers before pushing out updates.
