Qualcomm and MediaTek are set to unveil their newest mid-range processors in the coming weeks, with rumors circulating about the specifications of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Dimensity 8300 chipsets. According to leaker WHY LAB, both chipsets are expected to debut within the next two weeks.

There's speculation that the Honor 100, scheduled for launch on November 23 in China, could be the first device to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. Meanwhile, the Redmi K70e is anticipated to house the Dimensity 8300 chipset, as part of the K70 series set to launch in China by the end of the month.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is rumored to maintain the 1+3+4 architecture of its predecessor, comprising one prime core, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores. The prime core is expected to run at 2.63GHz, with the performance cores potentially clocking at 2.4GHz, and the efficiency cores at 1.8GHz, powered by an ARM Cortex-A715. Carrying the model number SM7550, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is reportedly being developed using TSMC's 4nm process and is currently in testing. It is expected to be paired with the Adreno 720 GPU.

MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Specifications (Expected)

Speculations around the Dimensity 8300 suggest a configuration featuring a single Cortex-X3 super-large core clocked at 2.8GHz, complemented by three Cortex-A715 performance cores running at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores operating at 1.6GHz. On the graphics front, the Dimensity 8300 is expected to integrate a G520 MC6 GPU with a frequency of 850MHz.
