Following the launch of Xperia C5 Ultra, Sony has announced another mobile under the M series, dubbed as Xperia M5.

With the OmniBalance design with glass finish on both sides, this device comes with 21.5MP rear camera with 0.25-second Hybrid Autofocus, LED flash, 4K video recording, and 5x Clear Image Zoom. Up front, there is a 13MP front-facing camera.

According to the company, the Hybrid Autofocus uses Phase detection AF (PDAF) for faster shutter speed response and Contrast detection AF for added precision added precision to produce crisp and clear photos.

Sony Xperia M5 - Key Specifications

Sony Xperia M5 sports a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2.

This device is powered by a 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa-Core 64-bit processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU along with 3GB of RAM under the hood.

Moving to the storage capacity, this device comes with a 16GB of native storage, with an expansion option of up to 200GB via microSD card slot. In terms of software, this device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

On the imaging factor, this phone comes with 21.5MP rear camera with IMX230 Exmor RS sensor, f/2.2 aperture, Hybrid AF, LED flash, and 4K video recording. There is a 13MP front-facing camera with Exmor RS sensor, and 1080p video recording. Also, this device come with water and dust protection with the IP65/68 rating.

Moreover, the connectivity option includes 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+ , WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and NFC. it houses a 2600mAh battery with STAMINA mode.

The Sony Xperia M5 comes in Gold, Black, White color variants and will be rolled out in selected countries from mid-August.
