Sony Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, Xperia L2 price and release dates are out

Here’s how much the Sony Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2 would cost.

At the CES 2018 tech show, Sony unveiled three new smartphones - Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2. At the time of announcing, the company revealed the specifications and features of these smartphones but remained mum when it comes to the pricing and release date information. It was revealed that these smartphones will go on sale in the U.S. market in February.

Now, the pricing and availability details of the new Sony smartphone trio are out. Going by the same, the Xperia XA2 will cost $349.99 (approx. Rs. 22,300), Xperia XA2 Ultra will cost $449.99 (approx. Rs. 28,700) and Xperia L2 will be priced at $249.99 (approx. Rs. 16,000). While the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra will be launched in the U.S. market on February 16, the Xperia L2 will be launched a week ahead on February 9.

Notably, Best Buy has listed these Sony smartphones in its online store for the same pricing that is mentioned above. Also Clove, an e-commerce website in the U.K. has also listed these smartphones.

As per the listing on Clove, Xperia XA2 Ultra will be priced at GBP 379 (approx. Rs. 34,200) and go on sale from today, the Xperia XA2 Ultra will be priced at GBP 299 (approx. Rs. 27,000) and the sale will debut on February 22, and the Xperia L2 costing GBP 199 (approx. Rs. 18,000) is already available for sale. Notably, all the UK pricing mentioned here include the VAT as well.

When it comes to the India release date, there is no official word from Sony regarding the same. However, last year, Sony launched the Xperia XA1 in the country in April and the Xperia XA1 Ultra in July. And, the Xperia L1 did not make its way into the Indian market at all.

So, this year too, we expect the company to launch the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra in the Indian market starting from the second quarter while there is no clarity regarding the Xperia L2. Again, the pricing remains unknown and we need to wait for the company to reveal an official word regarding the same.
