We have already seen a lot of leaks and rumors about the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ1 Compact. While we are expecting the Japanese manufacturer to unveil these devices at the IFA press conference on 31 August, we might have just a few things to look forward to.
Mainly because most of the features and specs of the upcoming smartphones have already been leaked or either rumored. And today yet again we have come across another leak which appears to be the official press renders of Sony Xperia XZ1. This is not the first time we have seen the images of Xperia XZ1 but the new ones are believed to be the official pictures.
The images have been published by Xperiablog and now we can fully see the device from all angles and what it brings to the table. The phone seems to be featuring a similar design language as the older Xperia smartphones. Sony could have been little creative with the design. It would provide something fresh for the users.
In any case, the smartphone appears to come with a 5.2-inch display but the resolution is still unknown. Moreover, at the front, you can see there are large bezels on both the top and bottom. It looks like the smartphone will also come with dual front-facing speakers. The Sony branding is at the top of the display.
There is a front-facing camera at the top, a volume rocker and a power button at the right side. As per reports, the power button will also double as a fingerprint scanner. There is also a physical camera capture button.
At the back, you can see that Xperia XZ1 sports a single camera and reportedly the camera will be capable of capturing both 4K and 960FPS slow motion video. There is the Xperia branding as well.
Apart from that, from the images, we can make out that the Xperia XZ1 will come in two color options: black and pink. And that is pretty much it about the new handset.
And talking about previous leaks and rumors, the smartphone is expected to come with Snapdragon 835 chipset, a 19 MP sensor and a 12 MP selfie snapper, 4 GB of RAM, a 3000 mAh battery, amongst others.
As for the pricing, popular tipster Roland Quandt has reported that the handset will cost £599 (approximately Rs. 49,204). If this report is true then Sony Xperia XZ1 will definitely not be cheap.
