Tecno Camon 20 Series Launching In India Today: Everything You Need To Know

Tecno recently launched multiple Android smartphones under the Camon 20 series. The series comprises four smartphones: Tecno Camon 20 4G, Camon 20 Pro 4G, Camon 20 Pro 5G, and Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G. Except for the Premier edition, the other smartphones under the Tecno Camon 20 series share many specifications and hardware.

The Tecno Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro, and Camon 20 Pro 5G Android smartphones all have a 120Hz 6.67-inch AMOLED, 8GB RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and even a 64MP primary rear camera. Let's check out all the specifications and features of the Tecno smartphone that will launch in India today.

Tecno Camon 20, 20 Pro, And 20 Pro 5G Specifications, Features

As mentioned above, the Tecno Camon 20, 20 Pro, And 20 Pro 5G feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Although Tecno hasn't confirmed yet, these displays could have a Full HD+ resolution.

Under the hood, Camon 20 Pro 5G is one of the first smartphones to be powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC. Although the chipset appears to be new, some reports suggest it could be a rebadged Dimensity 1300.

The Tecno Camon 20 Pro is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, while the base variant, Camon 20, packs a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85. Both these chipsets are limited to 4G networks. It is apparent that Tecno is attempting to position its latest Camon 20 series smartphones in multiple segments.

Although the Tecno Camon 20, 20 Pro, And 20 Pro 5G have different chipsets, all three smartphones feature 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Tecno hasn't confirmed the technology or standard of the RAM and the internal storage yet.

Moving on to the imaging department, there's a 32MP front-facing camera on all the Android smartphones in the Tecno Camon 20 series. Incidentally, all three devices even have a 64MP primary camera, but the technology differs slightly.

All three Camon 20 series smartphones have 64MP main cameras and a 2MP macro lens, but the Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G's primary camera has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and a 2MP depth sensor. The other two smartphones feature QVGA modules as the third lens.

The Tecno Camon 20 Pro and Pro 5G feature under-display optical fingerprint scanners. The base variant Tecno Camon 20, however, features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

All three Camon 20 series smartphones are powered by 5,000mAh batteries, which support 33W wired fast charging. These devices boot Android 13 with Tecno's HIOS 13 on top.

Tecno has secured an IP53 rating for all three devices. This means the devices have some protection from water splashes and dust.

Tecno Camon 20, 20 Pro, And 20 Pro 5G Price, Availability In India

Tecno launched the Tecno Camon 20, 20 Pro, and 20 Pro 5G Android smartphones in Nigeria earlier this month. At the time of the launch, Tecno confirmed smartphones under the Tecno Camon 20 series will be available in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Southern Asia. As promised, Tecno is launching the Tecno Camon 20 series smartphones in India today.

As for the prices of the Tecno smartphones, the Camon 20 Pro 5G retails for $300 (approx. ₹24,500). The brand should confirm the Indian pricing of the smartphones in the Tecno Camon 20 series at the launch today.
