Tecno Spark Slim and Pova Slim Unveiled: Ultra-Thin, Lightweight, and Packed with Features
Update: The Tecno Pova Slim 5G will launch in India on September 4, and its microsite is already live on Flipkart.
Earlier this year, Tecno showed off the Spark Slim as a concept phone that measured just 5.75mm. That idea has now turned into reality. The Spark Slim is officially launching, and it’s joined by a sibling—the Pova Slim. Both are designed with an emphasis on being thin and lightweight, nearly matching the dimensions of the original prototype.

Slim Profiles, Reworked Internals
The Tecno Spark Slim comes in at 5.93mm and weighs 156 grams. The Pova Slim is almost identical at 5.95mm, with the same weight. Hitting those numbers wasn’t easy. Tecno had to rethink components like the battery, speaker, SIM slot, and even the USB Type-C connector, which is trimmed down to just 0.45mm.
Inside, both phones use a vapor chamber that’s 0.3mm thick and a 5,160mAh battery compressed to 4.04mm. Tecno also leaned on its Honeycomb space stacking approach to maximize internal space. On the outside, there’s an aerospace-grade fiberglass back panel that measures only 0.36mm.
Cameras and Design Extras
Both phones come with a 50MP main camera. The Spark Slim adds a bit of flair with a Mood Light LED bar, which lights up with different effects and animations when you get notifications. That small detail is aimed at making the device stand out in day-to-day use.
Hardware and Performance
The Spark Slim is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G200 processor. The Pova Slim, on the other hand, brings 5G support thanks to the Dimensity 6400 chipset. Both models feature curved AMOLED displays with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness hitting 4,500 nits.
Battery life should be solid, with both packing a 5,160mAh cell. Charging options include 45W wired charging and 10W reverse wired charging. Add IP64 water and dust resistance, HiOS based on Android 15, and Tecno’s AI tools, and you’ve got a package that balances design with everyday functionality.
What Comes Next
Pricing and availability haven’t been confirmed yet, but Tecno is expected to reveal those details later this week.
