Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 Launching Soon in India; Ella AI Assistant and Wireless Charging on Board

Tecno is gearing up to launch the Phantom V Fold 2 soon in India, which made its debut last month alongside the Phantom V Flip2 foldable phone, featuring Tecno's proprietary AI Suite and Dimensity 9000+ chipset.

The next-gen foldable phone has several upgrades over last year's Phantom V Fold such as AI capabilities and Wireless charging. Here's what to expect from Tecno's upcoming foldable smartphone.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 Launch in India

The brand took to its official social media handle to confirm the arrival of the upcoming foldable phone. Following the launch, the Phantom V Fold 2 will be available for purchase via Amazon like its predecessor.

While the brand doesn't mention the name of the phone, the official teaser says, "A new chapter will unfold soon," hinting at the imminent launch of the next-gen Foldable phone. Even, the exact launch date of the upcoming handset is yet to be announced.

Tecno Phantom V Fold 2: What to Expect?

As noted, this time Tecno's foldable phone ships with an Ella AI assistant powered by Google Gemini. Users will get several AI capabilities features such as Smart Q&A for real-time answers, AI Summary for PDFs and webpages, AI Translation for live call translations, and AI Writing for text summarisation and creative writing.

The Phantom V Fold 2 will also have an AI Wallpaper feature to create custom wallpapers from text prompts. The device will powered by the Dimensity 9000+ chip. Moreover, the phone will sport a 7.85-inch inner screen and a 6.42-inch cover display.

For imaging, there will be three 50MP sensors such as a main wide camera, an ultra-wide shooter, and a portrait lens. It will have two 32MP selfie cameras placed on the cover screen and inner screen. The Phantom V Fold 2 also packs a 5,750 mAh battery with 70W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, while the previous-gen model doesn't support wireless charging.

Given the new upgrades, the upcoming Phantom V Fold 2 could be expensive compared to its precursor which was launched starting at Rs 88,888 for the base 12GB/256GB model.
