Tecno Pop 7 Pro Launched: Check Specs, Price, And Availability Of Entry-Level Android Smartphone

Tecno has launched the Tecno Pop 7 Pro in India. With its entry-level Android smartphone, the Pop 7 Pro, Tecno is targeting first-time smartphone buyers with a limited budget. Despite targeting a budget market segment, Tecno has offered some decent specifications, such as a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen, 12MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfie camera in this smartphone. Let's look at the details of this latest affordable Android handset.

Tecno Pop 7 Pro Specifications, Features

The Tecno Pop 7 Pro features a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD with 1612 × 720 pixel resolution. The 720p display with a 20:9 aspect ratio has a peak brightness of 480 nits and a 120Hz touch sampling ratio. A waterdrop notch on the display houses a 5MP front-facing camera.

Tecno has embedded a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC and an IMG PowerVR GPU in this device. The entry-level Android smartphone is available in either 2GB or 3GB RAM, and buyers get 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone has a dedicated microSD card slot to expand onboard storage.

As this is a MediaTek SoC, buyers can use the Virtual RAM feature to extend the available RAM by the same amount as the physical RAM. In other words, the 2GB RAM variant supports 2GB extended memory, whereas buyers who purchase the 3GB RAM model will get 3GB of extended memory.

The Tecno Pop 7 Pro gets a dual camera setup on the back. It has a 12MP primary camera accompanied by an AI lens and a dual-LED flash. As mentioned above, the Pop 7 Pro has a 5MP front-facing camera, and few reports suggest that the selfie camera could come with a dual-LED flash.

Tecno has embedded a 5000mAH battery inside the Tecno Pop 7, which supports 10W wired charging via a USB-C port. The smartphone runs on HiOS 11.0, based on Android 12 Go Edition.

The Tecno Pop 7 Pro measures 163.86 × 75.51 × 8.9mm and has secured an IPX2 rating, which makes it splash-resistant. Few other noteworthy features of the smartphone include Dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.

Tecno Pop 7 Pro Price, Availability In India

While the Tecno Pop 7 Pro is launched, it will be available for purchase from February 22. The Tecno Pop 7 Pro will be available in Endless Black and Uyuni Blue color options.

The Tecno smartphone will sell exclusively on Amazon India. The 2GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration option of the Tecno Pop 7 Pro has been priced at ₹6799, whereas the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage model costs ₹7299.
