UMI Hammer S smartphone with USB Type-C port teased!

    Chinese manufacturer UMI recently entered smartphone market in India with the launch of the Hammer smartphone. The company is now prepping to launch an upgraded version of its Hammer phone.

    UMI Hammer S smartphone with USB Type-C port teased!

    UMI has put up a teaser photo of the new smartphone, which it is calling as the Hammer S. The company has mentioned that the UMI Hammer S "will be more than just an upgrade" of the Hammer. UMI's teaser photo on Facebook does not really reveal much information about the phone, except that the Hammer S will include the USB type-C port.

    Going by what can be seen in the image, UMI looks like planning to bring this USB connectivity option on top of the existing metal exterior of the Hammer smartphone.

    This is not the only phone to bring the USB Type C port, considering that OnePlus has already revealed that its upcoming Two smartphone will come with the new USB interface standard. Apart from these, rumors have it that Apple's upcoming iPhone 6S might as well bring this connectivity option.

    Apple has earlier launched the new gen Macbook with USB type-C port, which is a tiny port that can be connected to a reversible-plug connector that can output HDMI, VGA, Display Port, or other types of connections. It promises higher transfer speeds of 10mbps.
