Amid of so many launches of smartphones, Vivo has silently launched its new budget smartphone named Vivo Y53i without making too much of noise. The smartphone is launched in Indian market at Rs 7,990. Recently, the company has also launched its Vivo V9 Youth at Rs 18,990 in India.

The newly launched smartphone was first spotted on social media platform Twitter. A Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom has posted the image of the box of the smartphone on his Twitter handle. The image of the box has disclosed some of the specifications of the phone.

The box suggests that the smartphone comes with a single camera setup on the rear, with an 8-megapixel camera sensor. On the front, the phone houses a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera for better selfie experience.

The Vivo Y53i arrives with a unibody design. According to BGR's report, the Y53i comes with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 540x960 pixels.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, coupled with Adreno 308 GPU paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, and if that is not enough then you can expand the storage via microSD card.

The predecessor of the smartphone, the Vivo V53, is priced at Rs 8,490 on Amazon India. Design wise, both the smartphones look very similar in appearance. The Vivo Y53i is backed by a 2,500 mAh battery and runs FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

On the connectivity part, the smartphone offers a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port, considering the same hardware specs of Vivo Y53.

While looking at the box image closely we also found that the box comes with the label of "Made in India" and the box content will be a handset, 1 charger, 1 USB Cable, a quick guide, 1 warranty card, and a SIM-ejector tool.

The box also revealed that the units are manufactured in the month of April 2018, and the MRP on the box is Rs 8,990. However, the twitter post suggests that the price will be Rs 7,990.
