Vivo launches the Y31L budget smartphone at Rs. 9,450 in India

    Vivo India today officially announced the launch of their latest budget smartphone - the Vivo Y31L - at a price of Rs. 9,450. The Y31L will succeed the Y31, launched in 2015.

    Expressing his delight on the launch, Mr. Alex Feng, CEO of Vivo India said,

    "We are pleased to announce the launch of Y31L, another brilliant addition to Vivo's smartphone portfolio in the affordable segment. Y31L is a stellar example of our endeavor to set benchmarks in the industry by offering products with magnificent features at attractive prices. This gives our valued customers new ways to capture and relive unforgettable moments."

    The Vivo Y31L is a budget smartphone and has decent specifications to match the same. It sports a 4.7-inch qHD IPS display that has a resolution of 960x540 pixels, giving it a pixel density of 234 ppi. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz.

    The Vivo Y31L also has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. The smartphone runs on FunTouch OS 2.1 out of the box, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

    In the camera department, the Vivo Y31L has an 8 Megapixel rear camera sensor with features like LED flash and Autofocus. The front camera is a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calling support.

    In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y31L has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack and Micro-USB as the various options.

    The Vivo Y31L packs in a decent 2,200 mAh battery under the hood and has features like Palm Capture, Voice Capture, FM Radio and Dual-SIM support. It comes in only Black and White color variants and is priced at Rs. 9,450 in India.
