Vivo S2 Launch in India Tipped, S-Series Could Return This July After Nearly 7 Years
Vivo may finally be bringing back its S-series smartphones to India after nearly seven years.
According to a report by 91mobiles, citing industry sources, the company is planning to launch the Vivo S2 in India this July. If true, it would mark the return of the S-series lineup that last launched in the country with the Vivo S1 back in 2019.

This time, though, Vivo appears to be targeting a completely different segment.
Vivo S2 May Enter the Premium Category
The older Vivo S1 was aimed at budget buyers, but the Vivo S2 is expected to launch in the premium mid-range segment.
Leaked pricing suggests the phone could arrive between ₹45,000 and ₹50,000. That would place it against devices like the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R.
At this price point, Vivo may focus more on design, cameras, and overall in-hand feel rather than purely performance-driven hardware.
Slim Design and Selfie Cameras Could Be the Focus
Specifications are still unknown for now, but the phone has reportedly appeared in the GSMA database with model number V2576, hinting that the launch process is already underway.
Based on Vivo’s earlier S-series phones launched in China, the Vivo S2 will likely continue focusing on:
- Slim and lightweight design
- Selfie camera performance
- Premium styling
- Everyday camera experience
That could help Vivo position the S2 differently from performance-heavy rivals in the same price range.
Could Share Similarities With Vivo V-Series Phones
Some earlier Vivo S-series phones have eventually launched globally under the V-series branding.
That means the Vivo S2 could end up sharing hardware or design similarities with future Vivo V-series devices as well.
For now, official specifications, camera details, and chipset information remain under wraps. More details are expected closer to launch.
