Vivo is reportedly planning a major comeback for its S-series smartphones in India. This highly anticipated return comes after an apparent seven-year hiatus in the country. The last S-series phone launched in the region was the Vivo S1, which debuted back in 2019. Recent leaks suggest the brand will launch the Vivo S2 in early August 2026.

The upcoming premium mid-ranger is tipped to pack massive internal upgrades. Industry insider Abhishek Yadav shared critical details about the hardware on July 23, 2026. He suggests that the device will feature Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. This powerful chipset will run alongside an expansive battery unit inside the sleek chassis.

Vivo S2 Price in India and Configurations Leaked

According to the leaked internal listings, the Vivo S2 will come in two storage configurations. The base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model is tipped at Rs 43,000. Oddly, the 128GB model is priced higher than the 256GB variant inside the leak. These figures remain highly speculative at this stage.

Buyers will likely choose from three distinct premium colorways at launch. These include Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White. The leaks also highlighted pricing for separate demo units, which generally precede actual retail stock. The official retail price might vary once bank discounts and introductory cards offers are applied.

Vivo S2 Specifications and Features (Expected)

The Vivo S2 is rumoured to sport a stunning 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED screen. It is expected to support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling. For secure biometric authentication, an in-display fingerprint sensor will likely be integrated. Surprisingly, reports suggest the Indian variant could run on ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.

To keep the flagship chipset running, Vivo is expected to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery. This massive cell will reportedly support 80W of wired fast charging. This means users will experience extremely quick tank-up times. Additionally, the phone is tipped to include both wireless charging and convenient reverse wireless charging capabilities.

On the imaging front, the device is rumoured to feature a versatile triple rear camera setup. This system includes a 50MP primary sensor and a high-resolution 50MP periscope telephoto lens. An 8MP ultrawide camera will complete the rear optical array. For high-quality selfies and video calls, a 32MP front camera is expected.

A massive 7,000mAh battery paired with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 silicon is quite rare. Most premium mid-range devices in India prioritize thin designs over massive batteries.
