Vivo S50, Vivo S50 Pro Mini Camera Details Revealed Ahead of Next Month Launch

The Vivo S50 series is set to make its debut in China next month. While Vivo is yet to reveal an official launch date for the upcoming S50 series, new information has emerged about its camera system. The Vivo S50 could make its debut as the Vivo V70 globally, while the 'Pro mini' model may launch as the Vivo X300 FE in the Indian market.

Vivo S50 Series Camera System: What To Expect

According to Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao's Weibo post, the Vivo S50 series will incorporate a Sony IMX882 1/1.95-inch periscope telephoto sensor, possibly a 50-megapixel camera. This will work with a "clear and natural portrait algorithm" to improve facial detail capture and image quality.

Reports indicate that the Vivo S50 series might share similar rear camera setups with the Vivo S30 series. The original Vivo S30 comes with a triple rear camera, including a 50-megapixel main Sony LYT700V 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with OIS, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens offering a 106-degree view.

Similarly, the Vivo S30 Pro Mini features a 50-megapixel primary camera using a Sony IMX921 1/1.56-inch sensor. It also includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. Both models have 50-megapixel front cameras for selfies and video calls.

Vivo S50 Series: What We Know So Far

Codenamed "Battle Angel," the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset from Qualcomm, expected to be launched shortly. This processor is anticipated to enhance performance, as the phone has scored around 3 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform.

Moreover, the Vivo S50 series will also feature a high-refresh rate OLED display and massive silicon carbon batteries. The upcoming Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini might have similar rear camera configurations to their predecessors, the Vivo S30 and S30 Pro Mini.
