Vivo Scraps Jovi OS: New Version Of FunTouch OS To Launch On December 19
Leaks and speculations indicate that Vivo is working on an all-new custom OS for its smartphones cammed the Jovi OS. The company has also scrapped the Jovi OS to pave way for the new operating system. Now, Vivo has officially confirmed that it will release a new iteration of the FunTouch OS on December 19.
In a social media post, the company has confirmed that after repeated discussion with the team members, the brand has decided to suspend the renaming of its OS. Besides, the company also confirms that the new iteration of FunTouch OS with features like app sharing will be made available for the Vivo X30.
With the app sharing feature, a user will be able to share an application with a fellow Vivo smartphone user via the screen sharing method, with one device being a host and another being a receiver.
Vivo X30 Features And Specifications
The Vivo X30 is an upcoming affordable 5G smartphone, powered by the Exynos 980 5G SoC with at least 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The smartphone is likely to offer a punch-hole display with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will launch with a new version of FunTouch OS based on Android 10 OS.
The smartphone is expected to carry a quad-camera setup with a 48/64MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide angle lens, a macro lens, and a zoom lens. Besides, the smartphone is also expected to carry a 32MP selfie camera.
Besides, the phone might carry a 4,000 mAh or even a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging via the USB Type-C port. Considering the specifications and support for the 5G network, the Vivo X30 is expected to be priced upwards of 2499 Yuan (approx Rs. 25,000). Besides the standard edition, the company is also expected to launch a high-end version called the Vivo X30 Pro with better specifications.
