Vivo Unveils OriginOS 6 in India: New Features, Rollout Timeline, and List of Eligible Phones

Vivo has officially announced its most advanced operating system yet in India – OriginOS 6. According to the company, smoothness is at the core of OriginOS 6, setting a new benchmark for performance and user experience.

The new Origin Smooth Engine enables seamless coordination between key modules such as computing, storage, and display, ensuring an experience that looks smooth, feels smooth, and stays smooth over time.

The design of OriginOS 6 draws inspiration from nature and human interaction with the world. It aims to make digital life more intuitive and enjoyable. The Origin Design system integrates visual elements like colour, shape, iconography, and layout with precision. Vivo Sans, the new brand font, supports over 40 languages and offers adjustable weight for symbols. Features like Dynamic Glow and Translucent Colour add depth and vibrancy to user interactions.

OriginOS 6 redefines app design for better user engagement. Users can easily manage tasks with features like iManager for device status checks and Origin Health for well-being tracking. The Immersive Weather feature provides an innovative way to explore weather conditions digitally.

Personal expression is encouraged through features like the Lock Screen Grid, which allows users to customize widgets, fonts, and photos for instant updates. The Home Screen Grid offers a sleek 4×7 layout with adaptive folders. Flip Cards bring photos to life with dynamic displays that adjust naturally as the device tilts.

In collaboration with Google, OriginOS 6 introduces upgraded Gemini and Circle features in Search for a smarter experience. Smoothness is evident on-screen through the Origin Animation system's motion effects like Spring Animation and Blur Transition. Vivo's Snap-Up Engine prioritizes computing power for demanding actions such as ticketing. App launches are up to 16% faster when opening multiple apps consecutively.

The latest vivo X300 Pro featuring OriginOS 6 has received SGS certification for sustained smoothness after simulating five years of heavy use. These innovations showcase Vivo's expertise in delivering a smooth user experience that users can rely on daily.
