Vivo V17 With 8GB RAM Gets NBTC Certification: Might Launch Soon

Vivo V17 Clears NBTC Certification

The Vivo V17 has cleared its certification in Thailand by NBTC. The device is listed with the Vivo 1919 model number, but nothing specific has been revealed about the hardware. However, with it getting certified, we can expect a launch anytime soon.

Some previous leaks have given some insight on the hardware such as a quad-rear camera setup, a gradient design pattern, and a big display with a waterdrop notch. It is worth noting that the V17 Pro offers a dual-lens pop-up selfie camera. So, Vivo opting for a waterdrop notch display is likely a cost-cutting measure.

The Vivo V17 is said to be powered by an octa-core processor, but it is currently unknown if it will be Qualcomm or MediaTek chipset. Considering the V17 Pro runs on a Snapdragon 675 chipset, we can expect the same processor.

The smartphone is said to come with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage with expandable microSD card support. The quad-camera setup at the rear is expected to house a 48MP primary sensor.

The remaining sensors are undisclosed, however, we can expect a telephoto sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a portrait lens. The Vivo V17 is likely to ship with Android Pie OS topped with FunTouch OS skin.

It is likely to offer a USB Type-C port along with standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE support. It was previously tipped that the official launch might take place on November 15, but nothing concrete can be said at the moment.
