Vivo V40e Launching on September 25 in India; 50MP Selfie Camera and 80W Charging Confirmed

Vivo has finally confirmed the launch date for the upcoming V40e smartphone in India, which will sit with the Vivo V40 and the V40 Pro models.

The Vivo V40e is confirmed to launch on September 25 at 12 PM IST. Following the launch, the smartphone will be available for purchase via the brand's official site and other online e-commerce platforms in India.

Vivo V40e Features We Know So Far

The design of the Vivo V40e is quite similar to the standard V40 and the Pro models, featuring a vertically aligned pill-shaped rear camera module and a curved display. The brand also confirms the handset will be available in Mint Green and Royal Bronze colour options.

The Vivo V40e will come with a 3D Curved display with a lightweight and stylish design, weighing just 183 grams. The smartphone is also confirmed to sport a 6.77-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, a 93.3% screen-to-body ratio, and HDR10+ support.

The Vivo V40e will pack a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support which is claimed to provide 90 hours of music playback and 20 hours of video playback. For imaging, the handset will feature a dual rear camera setup including a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens which will be paired with an Aura Light unit.

Upfront, the Vivo V40e will opt for a 50MP AF selfie camera. Moreover, the smartphone will include several AI portrait suites and 4K video recording. The Vivo V40e is also said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and might run on Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14. Lastly, the phone will feature an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.

As far as the price is concerned, the Vivo V40e is anticipated to come under the Rs 30,000 segment. However, it's better to take it as a hint and wait for the official announcement.
