Vivo V50 Launch in India Expected to Take Place Next Month: Tipped to Debut Without the Vivo V50 Pro

Vivo traditionally unveils its first round of V series smartphones in the first quarter of the year. And this appears to be no different for the upcoming Vivo V50 series. However, new reports suggest a shift in Vivo's launch strategy for the V50 series.

According to tipster, Abhishek Yadav, the Vivo V50 will make its debut in India next month (February 2025). Although the Vivo V50 Proo model won't arrive alongside the V50. Instead, the Vivo V50 Pro launch in India might be cancelled altogether.

Vivo V50 Launch, Expected Pricing in India

The tipster posted to X that the Vivo V50 is launching in India next month in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB configurations. Moreover, the handset will also be offered in Blue, Red, Grey, and Rose shades.

We expect the Vivo V50 price in India to start from under Rs 35,000, similar to the pricing of the Vivo V40 (Review). To recall, the Vivo V50 will debut as a rebranded version of the Vivo S20, which was unveiled in China back in November 2024.

Vivo V50 Specifications (Expected)

The Vivo V50 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Vivo V50 packs a massive 6,500 mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging support. The phone runs on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15 out of the box.

The Vivo V50 sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K (2800 × 1260 pixels) flat OLED display with HDR10+ support. Moreover, the screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2000Hz instant touch sampling rate. The display features a peak brightness of 5,000 nits and 3840Hz high frequency dimming.

For optics, the Vivo V50 features a 50MP primary sensor with a 1/1.55-inch sensor size and CIPA 4.0 camera-level image stabilization and a the same 50MP ultrawide and 50MP selfie camera as the 'Pro' model. The Vivo V50 also packs stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint reader. The phone also features an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and water.
