Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch the Vivo V80 in India as the successor to the Vivo V70. While the company is yet to officially confirm the smartphone, a new report suggests that the upcoming Vivo V-series device could arrive as early as October.

Vivo V80 India Launch Timeline and Expected Price

According to a recent report, the Vivo V80 could launch in India during the first week of October. Vivo has not yet announced an official launch date, so the timeline should be treated as speculation for now.

The expected price of the Vivo V80 has not been revealed yet. However, the smartphone is tipped to be priced under Rs. 50,000 in India, which could make it a more affordable alternative to Vivo's premium X-series smartphones.

The upcoming handset will succeed the Vivo V70 and is likely to continue Vivo's focus on premium design, advanced cameras and performance in the upper mid-range segment.

Vivo V80 Expected Specifications and Features

The camera system is expected to be one of the biggest highlights of the Vivo V80. The report claims that the smartphone could feature a 50MP telephoto camera with support for 3X Portrait photography and up to 10X Portrait zoom.

Vivo could also bring its 4K Cinematic Video feature to the V80. The feature, which has previously been associated with Vivo's flagship X series, could allow users to capture videos with background blur and apply colour grading directly within the camera app.

The report further suggests that the Vivo V80 could offer three movie-inspired video styles: Modern, Vibrant and Pastel. These features could position the smartphone as a content creation-focused device for users who frequently shoot portraits and videos.

Other specifications of the Vivo V80 remain under wraps for now. However, its predecessor offers a 120Hz AMOLED display, IP68 and IP69 ratings, a large battery, and multiple 50MP cameras, giving an idea of what Vivo could improve upon with the upcoming model.

Meanwhile, leaks surrounding the Vivo V80 Lite have also started emerging. The device has reportedly appeared in leaked images with a curved display, a slim metal frame, and blue and white colour options, suggesting that Vivo could expand the V80 lineup with multiple models.

With an expected price of under Rs. 50,000, advanced portrait capabilities and flagship-inspired video features, the Vivo V80 could be an interesting addition to India's premium smartphone segment when it launches.
