Vivo V9 is the most recent selfie-centric smartphone to be launched by the company. While this device is not even a month old, it looks like the company is working on a toned-down variant of the same with the moniker Vivo V9 Youth. The latest leak has shed light on the complete specifications of this upcoming smartphone. Though there is no image accompanying the leak, we can expect the mid-range handset to feature a V9-like design.
Slashleaks has come up with a leaked specs sheet of the Vivo V9 Youth. The specifications listed in the image above show that the device will be a toned-down variant of the V9. And, the specs appear to be decent enough on paper. If this report turns out to be true, then we can expect the V9 Youth to be the cheapest smartphone with a notch.
The leaked specs sheet shows that the Vivo V9 Youth might sport a 6.3-inch FHD+ FullView display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. The display is said to have a notch, which is evident from its resolution and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Under its hood, the device is likely to make use of an octa-core 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC teamed up with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. The smartphone will have a dedicated microSD card slot supporting up to 256GB of default memory capacity, states the specs sheet. It is also said to feature support for OTG.
Vivo V9 Youth camera
It has been revealed that the Vivo V9 Youth might sport a dual-camera setup at its rear with a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. The selfie camera could be a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. It is believed that the smartphone's camera will have features such as 4K video recording capability, AI Face Beauty, Shot Re-Focus, Bokeh Mode, AI HDR and AR Sticker.
Vivo V9 Youth might arrive with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as the V9. The fingerprint sensor is said to double as a camera shutter button as well and help in checking the notifications too. The device is said to feature a 3260mAh battery and run Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Vivo V9 is a selfie-centric smartphone with an iPhone X-like design priced at Rs. 22,990. If the Vivo V9 Youth is announced, it could be priced under Rs. 20,000. So, we can expect it to compete with other such mid-range selfie-centric smartphones in the market such as the Oppo F5 series launched last year.
