Vivo X Flip Camera, Display Details Leaked Ahead of April Launch
Vivo has already launched a horizontal foldable smartphone in China, called the Vivo X Fold+. The smartphone is an impressive take on the foldable display technology that is complemented with flagship Zeiss optics and a crease-free experience.
As per reports, Vivo is working on a flip version of the foldable smartphone, possibly called the Vivo X Flip. A popular leakster is now out with new details about the smartphone's camera chops.

Vivo X Flip May Feature Zeiss Dual Cameras, 6.8-inch 120Hz Display
According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Vivo is working on a flip smartphone, much like the Oppo Find N2 Flip. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, same as the Vivo X Fold+. It will be available in 12GB RAM with 128GB storage configurations.
The tipster has also shared illustrations showing the design of the smartphone. The diagrams show a large cover display and a familiar dual camera island above it, with the Zeiss branding.
The tipster shared the Vivo X Flip will feature a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary camera along with a 12MP IMX663 ultrawide camera. The inner display will have an additional camera, in a punch hole notch. The rear cameras will bear the Zeiss branding, with possibly some of the Zeiss exclusive features like T-star coating, and portrait filters making their way to the flagship.
Previous reports have claimed the internal display will have a Full HD+ resolution. The Weibo tipster has claimed the display will measure 6.8-inches and have 120Hz refresh rate. This matches with the inner display of the Find N2 Flip that has a 1080x2520 pixels resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio.
Vivo X Flip: Launch and Availability
The Vivo X Flip is expected to launch in Mainland China in April 2023. The company should start teasing the smartphone from next week. There is hope that Vivo will also launch the foldable smartphone in global markets as other brands such as Oppo, and Tecno have already announced their entry. Vivo is also working on an updated version of its foldable smartphone, called the Vivo X Fold 2, reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
