Vivo X Fold 6 Price Revealed Ahead of Launch on June 26: Major Price Hike Expected Over Vivo X Fold 5

Vivo is set to unveil its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 6, in China on June 26. Ahead of the official launch, a new leak from Weibo has revealed the expected pricing of the device, suggesting a significant increase over its predecessor.

According to the leak, the base Vivo X Fold 6 variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could be priced at CNY 9,999. If accurate, this would mark a nearly 43 percent increase compared to the Vivo X Fold 5, which debuted at CNY 6,999 (roughly ₹98,000) last year. The reported price hike is likely linked to rising chipset, memory, and component costs.

The leak also sheds light on pricing for higher storage configurations:

  • 12GB RAM + 256GB Storage: CNY 9,999 (roughly ₹1,40,000)
  • 12GB RAM + 512GB Storage: CNY 10,999 (roughly ₹1,54,000)
  • 16GB RAM + 512GB Storage: CNY 11,499 (roughly ₹1,61,000)
  • 16GB RAM + 1TB Storage: CNY 12,499 (roughly ₹1,75,000)

If these figures prove accurate, the Vivo X Fold 6 will position itself firmly in the ultra-premium foldable smartphone segment.

While the leaked pricing applies to the Chinese market, it hints at a broader trend of rising foldable smartphone prices globally. If Vivo brings the X Fold 6 to India, buyers can expect a premium price tag that reflects its flagship-grade hardware, advanced camera system, and large battery.

Vivo X Fold 6 Specifications (Expected)

The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. The foldable is likely to ship with OriginOS 6 Fold, offering software optimizations tailored for multitasking and large-screen productivity.

The device is tipped to feature a large 8.02-inch flexible inner display paired with a redesigned hinge mechanism aimed at reducing crease visibility and improving durability. Vivo is also expected to offer IPX8 and IPX9 water-resistance ratings, making it one of the most durable foldables in its class.

For photography, the handset could feature a 200MP primary rear camera alongside a periscope telephoto sensor based on Sony's LYT-602 sensor. Backing the hardware is a massive 7,000mAh battery, which could set a new benchmark for battery capacity in foldable smartphones.

The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to launch in Blue Hole, Salt Lake, and Polar Night colour options. More details, including official pricing and availability, will be announced at the launch event on June 26.
