Vivo X200 FE May Launch in India as Rebranded S30 Pro Mini: What to Expect

Vivo appears to be reshuffling its smartphone launch plans for India. Earlier reports suggested the Vivo X200 Pro Mini would arrive this month, following its debut in China last October. However, according to new leaks, Vivo is changing course. Instead of the Pro Mini, India may see a slightly reworked version-the Vivo X200 FE-set to launch by late June or early July.

While there's no official confirmation yet, this change highlights how Vivo often adjusts its global lineup to better suit regional markets.

Vivo X200 FE May Launch in India as Rebranded S30 Pro Mini

From Pro Mini to FE: What's Different?

The source of this update comes from Smartprix, which reports that Vivo has internally reconsidered the specifications of the X200 Pro Mini for India. Rather than bringing the same device, Vivo is now expected to launch the X200 FE, which could come with some trimmed-down features.

Interestingly, this upcoming model might share its DNA with another device-China's Vivo S30 Pro Mini. According to a leak from tipster Digital Chat Station, the specs of the S30 Pro Mini closely align with those rumored for the X200 FE. This suggests Vivo could be rebranding the S30 Pro Mini as the X200 FE for India, a strategy brands often use to fine-tune their offerings across different markets.

Expected Features: Familiar Display, Modified Cameras

One feature likely to stay the same is the 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling and vibrant visuals. For buyers seeking a compact phone with a quality screen, this remains a key highlight.

However, the camera setup could see changes. Unlike the Pro Mini's triple-camera system, the X200 FE is expected to offer two rear cameras, both reportedly 50MP sensors, including a telephoto lens. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera remains. While a reduction in camera count might raise eyebrows, Vivo's camera software could still deliver solid results.

Processor and Charging

The X200 FE is rumored to be powered by the Dimensity 9400e processor, a variant of the Dimensity 9300+. Though not flagship-grade, it should handle daily tasks and moderate gaming efficiently. The phone is also tipped to support 90W fast charging, though battery capacity details remain unknown.

Pricing and Availability

With the Vivo X200 series in India starting at ₹65,999, the X200 FE could offer a more affordable entry point. If leaks hold true, Vivo is aiming for a July launch, though pricing remains speculative.
