Vivo X300 Ultra Launch Date Tipped; X300s May Also Debut

Vivo’s next flagship smartphone, the Vivo X300 Ultra, may be closer to launch than previously expected. A new leak suggests the company could unveil the device in China toward the end of March.

The phone was briefly showcased earlier this month at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, but Vivo hasn’t confirmed when it will officially arrive.

Vivo X300 Ultra Launch Date

According to a post shared on Weibo by tipster Bald Panda, Vivo may hold a launch event in China before the end of March. The tipster did not directly mention the phone by name but referred to a device simply as “U.”

That detail is widely interpreted as a reference to the Ultra model in the X300 series.

If the information turns out to be accurate, the Vivo X300 Ultra could launch in China on March 30. Vivo hasn’t confirmed this date publicly yet.

Another Device May Launch Alongside It

The upcoming Ultra model may not arrive alone.

At MWC 2026, Vivo also displayed another handset called the Vivo X300 Max. Later, Vivo product manager Han Boxiao confirmed that the device will launch in China under a different name: Vivo X300s.

The X300s is confirmed to feature a 6.78-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The panel uses BOE Q10 Plus luminescent material and supports a feature Vivo calls Circular Polarised Light 2.0, which the company says is designed to reduce eye strain during extended use.

Camera Hardware Appears To Be A Key Focus

Vivo has also revealed some details about the camera system that could appear on the Vivo X300 Ultra.

The phone is confirmed to use a Sony LYTIA-901 primary sensor paired with a 35mm focal length, which aims to produce a more natural perspective in photos. The camera setup includes a 200-megapixel sensor with a 1/1.12-inch size, which should allow the sensor to capture more light.

According to Vivo, the design increases the effective light-gathering area per pixel by more than 30 percent compared with the previous generation.

The camera stabilisation system will also move from CIPA 5.0 to CIPA 6.5, which could help improve photo and video stability when shooting handheld. Vivo says the lens structure has also been updated with a 1-glass and 6-plastic element design, along with special coatings.

Additional reports suggest the phone could include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-828 ultra-wide camera, a 200-megapixel Samsung periscope telephoto camera, and a 5-megapixel multispectral sensor. For selfies, the device may feature a 50-megapixel front camera.

Other Hardware Details From Earlier Leaks

Beyond the camera system, earlier leaks suggest the Vivo X300 Ultra could run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The device is also tipped to include a 6.82-inch 2K flat display and a 7,000mAh battery. Charging support could include 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, while the phone may carry an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
