Vivo appears ready to push its premium smartphone lineup further upmarket with the upcoming X500 series. The new generation is expected to focus heavily on camera capabilities, large batteries and flagship performance, but leaked pricing suggests buyers could also see a noticeable increase over the previous X300 series.

Vivo X500 Series Launch Date and Key Details

Vivo will launch the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max in China later today at 07 PM Beijing time or 04:30 pm IST. The company is expected to reveal the official prices, storage variants, colours and availability details at the event.

The smartphones will launch in China first, while Vivo has not yet confirmed their India or global availability. However, we expect the Vivo X500 series to make their debuts in India next month.

Vivo X500 Series Pricing: What to Expect

Leaked Chinese pricing suggests the standard X500 could cost CNY 5,299 to CNY 6,499, while the X500 Pro may be priced between CNY 6,299 and CNY 7,499. The top-end X500 Pro Max is tipped to cost CNY 6,999 to CNY 8,499.

These figures remain unconfirmed until Vivo officially announces the prices. For comparison, the Vivo X300 started at CNY 4,399, while the X300 Pro launched at CNY 5,299.

Vivo X500 Series Expected Specifications and Features

The X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max are expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, while the standard X500 could use the Dimensity 9600M.

Camera hardware is likely to be a major highlight. The X500 Pro Max is tipped to feature a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP0 periscope telephoto camera with ZEISS APO branding, CIPA 7.0 stabilisation and support for a 400mm teleconverter. It could also feature a Sony LYT-910 primary sensor and 50MP ultra-wide camera.

The X500 Pro may get a 64MP Sony LYT-610 telephoto camera, while the standard X500 is expected to use a Sony LYT-828 primary sensor with CIPA 5.5 stabilisation.

Battery capacity could also be impressive. The X500 is tipped to pack a 7,500mAh battery with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. The Pro models could reportedly feature batteries of up to 8,000mAh, along with 90W wired charging. More details will be confirmed at the September 21 China launch.
