Vivo Y100 5G Design, And Prices Leaked: Renders Reveal Color Options, Features Of Mid-Range Android Phone

Rumors claim that Vivo will launch a new Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y100 5G, in India soon. In fact, as per a recent leak, the smartphone will officially launch in a couple of days. However, Vivo hasn't confirmed the launch date. The Vivo Y100 5G seems to be a capable mid-range Android smartphone with an AMOLED display powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC. Vivo Y100 5G Design Renders Hint At Color Options And Camera Setup

As per a recent leak, the Vivo Y100 5G is said to be launched on February 16 in the Indian market. Ahead of its alleged launch, design renders, specifications, and features of the Vivo Y100 5G have surfaced online.

Leaked renders indicate that the Vivo Y100 5G will be available in Gold, Blue, and Black color options. The renders also suggest that Vivo has added a color-changing back panel on the smartphone. Vivo offered a similar back-panel on the Vivo V25 Pro, but it was a glass panel. Hence, it is quite possible that the Vivo Y100 5G features a glass back. The color of the back panel could change when exposed to ultraviolet light.

The renders further reveal a full-screen display with a waterdrop notch. The smartphone appears to have a considerable chin at the bottom. The right side of the device will have volume rockers and a power button. The bottom edge will have a speaker grill, Type-C charging port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Vivo has embedded a hybrid dual SIM tray at the top edge of the Vivo Y100 5G.

Vivo may not have officially launched the Vivo Y100 5G yet, but few reports suggest that the smartphone is already on sale in the offline market.

The Vivo Y100 5G is reported to feature a 6.38-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, and a maximum brightness rate of 1,300 nits. The waterdrop notch on the front could house a 16MP front-facing camera. The screen appears to hide an under-display fingerprint scanner.

According to previous reports, the Vivo Y100 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

A triple rear camera setup is clearly visible on the Vivo Y100 5G, which could have a 64MP primary camera with OIS support and an f/1.7 aperture. The primary camera will be accompanied by a 2MP depth and a 2MP macro sensor.

The Vivo Y100 5G could pack a 4500mAh battery with support for 44W wired FlashCharge fast charging. The smartphone will likely run FunTouch OS 13, based on Android 13 out-of-the-box.

An earlier leak indicated that Vivo would price the Y100 5G at ₹24,999 for the sole 8GB + 128GB model. The smartphone will likely sell via multiple channels such as offline, Vivo e-store, and Flipkart.
