Vivo Y100 5G Price, Marketing Materials Leaked; Hands-on Video Surfaces

Vivo is set to launch its new Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y100 5G, in India soon. Just ahead of its launch, pricing details of the midrange smartphone have surfaced online. Leakster, Abhishek Yadav, revealed the price of the upcoming Vivo smartphone via his Twitter handle.

As per the tipster, the Vivo Y100 5G will be priced at ₹24,999 in the Indian market and will be available in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration in the country. Another tipster, Paras Guglani, claims that the Vivo Y100 will debut on February 16 2023 in India.

Marketing material of the upcoming Vivo Y100 5G was also recently leaked online by TheTechOutlook, giving us a fair idea about what to expect from the device. A major highlight of the device is said to be an innovative color-changing AG Fluorite glass at the back. The device is also said to have two circular camera rings at the back that house the rear camera sensors and the LED flash.

The leaked images reveal that the smartphone will be fairly slim at 7.73mm thickness and will weigh about 181 grams. The device is said to sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a maximum brightness rate of 1,300 nits. It will also have a teardrop notch on display for the selfie sensor.

The promo material also confirms that the device will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, which is built on a 6nm fabrication process. The chipset will be paired with 8GB LPDDR 4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Memory can be expanded further up to 1TB via the hybrid microSD card slot.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y100 will boast a 64MP rear primary sensor coupled with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). Furthermore, it will be come with features such as vlog movies, cinematic videos, dual-view video modes, super night mode, bokeh flare portrait, multi-style night filters, and a multi-style portrait. The handset is likely to be powered by a 4500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
