Vivo has announced a new smartphone in its 'Y' series - the Vivo Y19. The latest handset comes as a mid-range offering and has gone official in Thailand. The device is said to be a rebranded version of the Vivo U1, but packs a MediaTek chipset instead of a Snapdragon. Following are its pricing and availability details:

Vivo Y19 Key Specifications And Features

The Vivo Y19 has three cameras at the rear stacked vertically on the top left corner. The setup offers a 16MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP sensor for Portrait shots.

The device sports a 6.53-inch display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2340 pixels FHD+ resolution, and 395 PPI pixel density. The display has a waterdrop notch that accommodates a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls with an f/2.0 aperture.

The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 chipset paired up with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage option. In the software department, the device makes use of Android Pie OS with a Fun Touch OS 9 skin on top.

It offers standard connectivity options like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB OTG. Completing the specification sheet is a 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging support.

Vivo Y19 Price And Availability

The Vivo Y19 is launched at THB 6,999 in Thailand, which sums up to Rs. 16,398 approx in Indian currency. As of now, Vivo has not announced details on its availability in the Indian market.

Also, if the device is a rebranded version of the U10, then it would be hard to say if it will land in the country. We are waiting for the company to announce its plan on launching its new mid-range smartphone in India. Besides, a price tag below Rs. 20,000 is likely to be in favor of its success.
