Vivo Y56 5G Live Images, Specs, Prices Leak: Budget Smartphone With Dimensity 700 SoC Tipped

While Vivo confirmed the upper mid-range Vivo V27 series this week, according to rumors, the brand is also readying a budget Android smartphone. The Vivo Y56 5G could launch as early as this week, even though Vivo has not made any official annoucements. The 5G-enabled device appears to be aimed at the budget-conscious smartphone buyer, as is evident from the leaked specifications, features, and live images.

Although Vivo hasn't acknowledged the presence of a budget smartphone in the pipeline, a new leak has offered multiple details of the upcoming budget-friendly Android smartphone. According to a tipster, the Vivo Y56 5G is to be announced by the company on February 16 for the Indian market. Going by Vivo's history, the Vivo Y56 will also be available through offline retailers.

The Vivo Y56 5G is tipped to feature a 6.58-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen. As the leaked image indicates, the 720p resolution display has a waterdrop notch, which will house the front-facing camera.

Vivo has reportedly embedded a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC inside the Y56 5G and paired it with a Mali G52 GPU. The smartphone is expected to come with either 4GB RAM or 6GB RAM, but buyers will get 128GB of internal storage in both variants. As Vivo has used a MediaTek SoC on the Vivo Y56 5G, users can use the "Extended RAM" feature, which uses a portion of internal storage as virtual RAM.

As the leaked specifications indicate, the Vivo Y56 5G will feature a dual camera setup on the back, with a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP lens. The smartphone is said to have a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock. The Vivo Y56 5G will reportedly pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W wired fast charging.

The Vivo smartphone is also rumored to feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It will run FunTouchOS 13, based on Android 13.

Vivo Y56 5G Launch, Expected Prices And Availability In India

Rumors claim that Vivo will launch the Vivo Y56 5G on February 16. However, there has been no word from the company about this smartphone yet.

The Vivo Y56 5G will reportedly launch in two color options: Orange Shimmer and Black Engine. If the leaks hold, the base variant of the Vivo Y56 5G with 4GB + 128GB memory configuration will be priced at ₹18,999, whereas the 6GB + 128GB model could cost about ₹2,000 more.
