Vivo has been in the headlines for the launch of the Vivo V7+ smartphone in India on September 7 as the invites for the same are already out. Now, the company seems to have quietly launched the Vivo Y69 smartphone at a price point of Rs. 14,990.

The USP of the Vivo Y69 is its 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and a slew of camera modes. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat topped with the company's Funtouch OS 3.2. Priced at Rs. 14,990, this smartphone will be available via both online stores such as Flipkart, Amazon, etc. and offline channels from September 1. Vivo has launched the smartphone in two color variants - Matte Black and Champagne Gold.

The Vivo Y69 boasts of a 5.5-inch HD 720p IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. At its heart, the smartphone is equipped with a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6570 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. Notably, the smartphone features dedicated dual SIM card slots and a separate microSD card slot.

On the imaging front, the latest Vivo smartphone flaunts a 13MP rear camera with Samsung S5K3L8 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash and features such as Bokeh, Group Selfie and the company's Live Photo feature. The selfie camera is a 16MP one with moonlight flash and f/2.0 aperture. There is an advanced front-facing fingerprint sensor on board and a 3000mAh battery operates under its hood giving the device sufficient backup to last through a day. The connectivity features of the Vivo Y69 include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, micro USB, Wi-Fi, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
