VOTO makes an entry into the Indian smartphone market with three new smartphones

VOTO has launched three new smartphones in India, VOTO V2, VOTO V2i and VOTO V4 making an entrance into the Indian smartphone market aiming to downsize the growth of popular Chinese competitors.

    VOTO is an all new brand to debut in India on August 9, 2017. The company is currently in association with Xunrui Communications Co. Ltd. for manufacturing its smartphones in China. VOTO is a Chinese smartphone brand in partnership with China Mobile Communications Corporation.

    VOTO makes an entry into the Indian smartphone market

    VOTO will release three smartphones in India on August 18, 2017, which are VOTO V2, VOTO V2i, and VOTO V4. We got our hands on VOTO V2i which is a sub 10k device. Although the price of the device has not been disclosed, VOTO maintains that it will be in the range of Rs. 6000 to Rs 8000.

    VOTO V2i runs Android Nougat 7.0 and has a stock GUI. The smartphone has a 5-inch display. It has 2GB RAM clubbed with 1.3 GHz Quad core Cortex A7 processor and Mali-400 MP2 graphics processing unit. It has an inbuilt storage of 32GB while it supports microSD card for memory expansion to 128GB.

    The device has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The rear camera gets an LED flash. The device lacks fingerprint sensor.

    VOTO has partnered with a leading marketing and distribution firm Rashi Peripherals in India with an aim to reach 400 cities in the country. It is retailing offline with plans to expand to online retailing.

    VOTO aims to generate a revenue of Rs. 700 crores in a year in India. It will also launch a flagship model that will have high-end specifications. VOTO wants to compete with leading Chinese firms in India including Xiaomi.
