Xiaomi launched its 2023 flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, at the MWC 2023 in February. These premium Android smartphones are available in multiple markets outside China. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is the third smartphone in the series, and its launch date has now been revealed.

As the name implies, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is the top-end model in the Xiaomi 13 series. The smartphone's specifications and features recently leaked online. Thereafter, the device was spotted on Singapore's IMDA certification website. An online retailer now accidentally revealed the launch date of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Online Chinese App Store Accidentally Revealed Xiaomi 13 Ultra Launch Date

Xiaomi has acknowledged the existence of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra 5G and confirmed the smartphone would launch in multiple markets outside China.

An online retailer app store in China may have accidentally revealed the launch date of the flagship Xiaomi smartphone. The store listing mentions a Xiaomi smartphone that will be launched in China on April 18 at 7pm China time.

The listing does not explicitly mention the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. However, Xiaomi has previously indicated that it will launch its new Ultra flagship this month. Hence, it would be safe to assume Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi 13 Ultra on April 18.

The listing on the Chinese App Store does not reveal any other details about the upcoming Xiaomi flagship phone. However, the flagship smartphone has been popping up on multiple certification websites, revealing its key specifications and features.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Leaked Specifications, Features

Xiaomi has merely acknowledged the existence of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra but refrained from offering any details. Hence, most of the specifications and features of the flagship Android smartphone have been collated from leaks and rumors.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The screen may have flat edges and could alter the refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz depending on the content being displayed. There could be an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is expected to power the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The powerful SoC could be paired with up to 16GB of RAM. Buyers may get up to 512GB of internal storage. The exact specifications of the RAM and storage aren't known yet, but they might be of the latest available technology, such as LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is tipped to feature quad cameras on the back, headlined by a 50MP primary camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. The other sensors are rumored to be a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and two 50MP telephoto cameras, one of which may offer 3x optical zoom. Needless to mention, this is the biggest difference between the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which has a triple camera on the back.

The flagship smartphone is rumored to have a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies, video calls, and face unlock.

The Xiaomi 13 is expected to run MIUI 14 custom skin based on Android 13. The smartphone is expected to pack a 4,900mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The smartphone may feature a USB 3.1 Type-C port.
