Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro to Feature Periscope Cameras With Up to 5x Optical Zoom

The Xiaomi 14 series of smartphones is expected to debut in China this November. Months ahead of the purported launch, camera details of the phone have already leaked online. According to the latest report, the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will feature up to 5x optical zoom cameras.

Xiaomi 14 Series Camera Details Leaked

According to prolific tipster Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature a periscope telephoto lens with a focal length of 115mm and an impressive 5x optical zoom.

The vanilla Xiaomi 14, on the other hand, will sport a periscope telephoto camera with a focal length of 90mm and 3.9x optical zoom. To compare, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro feature up to 3.2x optical zoom and 75mm focal length.

The tipster did not reveal other camera details such as the resolution and focal lengths of other sensors. Going by the leaked periscope camera details, we can expect the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series to come with an upgraded camera setup.

Xiaomi 14 Series Rumored Features

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro were earlier seen on the IMEI database. The vanilla Xiaomi 14 was spotted bearing the model numbers 23127PN0CC (China) and 23127PN0CG (global), while the Xiaomi 14 Pro was seen with 23116PN5BC (China) and 23116PN5BG (global) model numbers.

According to older reports, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will sport three 50MP cameras at the rear which will comprise a primary camera, an ultra-wide lens, and a zoom camera. There's still no word regarding the Xiaomi 14's camera setup. The Xiaomi 14 Pro will likely get a selfie camera with 4K video recording capability.

As for the Xiaomi 14 Pro's display, rumors suggest that the smartphone will be offered in flat and curved-edge display variants. It will likely be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery. The Xiaomi 14 will feature 90W charging support, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature 120W fast charging.
