Xiaomi is preparing for one of its biggest product launches yet, unveiling two flagship devices—the Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone and the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric car—at an event in China on February 27.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra: A Camera-Focused Flagship
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to be a powerhouse, especially in the camera department. Xiaomi’s smartphone chief Lu Weibing recently confirmed some key details about its camera system, which includes:
- 50MP main camera (23mm) with a 1-inch sensor and f/1.63 aperture
- 50MP ultra-wide camera (14mm) with f/2.2 aperture
- 50MP telephoto floating lens (70mm) with f/1.8 aperture and 10cm telemacro
- 200MP periscope telephoto camera (100mm) with f/2.6 aperture, supporting 200mm and 400mm zoom for 28x lossless zoom
With this setup, Xiaomi is clearly aiming for high-quality mobile photography, offering users more versatility with zoom, ultra-wide shots, and detailed close-ups.
High-End Display, Performance, and Battery
Beyond its camera system, leaks suggest the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature:
- A 2K quad-curved AMOLED display
- Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC
- 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: Expanding Into Electric Vehicles
While the Xiaomi 15 Ultra dominates the smartphone conversation, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is set to make waves in the EV industry. Following the announcement of the standard Xiaomi SU7, the Ultra version will take things to the next level with improved performance and premium features.
While official specs haven’t been fully revealed, reports suggest the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will feature:
- A tri-motor setup producing over 1,500 horsepower
- Second-generation Kirin battery for longer range
- 0-100 km/h acceleration in under 2 seconds
- A top speed of over 350 km/h
With these specs, Xiaomi is positioning the SU7 Ultra as a high-performance EV, likely targeting Tesla and other premium electric car brands.
When and Where to Watch the Launch
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will be officially launched in China on February 27 at 7 PM CST (4:30 PM IST). Following the domestic launch, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be introduced to global markets on March 2, just before MWC 2025.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the SU7 Ultra will be showcased globally at MWC 2025, marking its first international appearance.
