Xiaomi 15 with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, Leica Triple Cameras, 120Hz OLED Display Launched in India

The Xiaomi 15 has been unveiled in India alongside its 'Ultra' counterpart, following their global debut at the MWC. The device boasts a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED flat M9 LTPO display with a peak brightness of 3200 nits. It supports a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz and features ultra-narrow bezels measuring just 1.38mm.

The phone's design includes a flat, one-piece aviation-grade aluminium frame with rounded corners and sharp edges. Its body is only 71.2mm wide, making it convenient for single-hand use. The Liquid Silver variant uses 3D hot-bent glass to provide a tactile wave sensation.

Advanced Camera and Performance Features

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It incorporates the Xiaomi IceLoop Wing-Type System, which claims to deliver three times the performance of traditional VC systems.

The smartphone is equipped with triple rear cameras, each featuring a Leica Summilux lens. This includes a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.62 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera offering 2.6X zoom capabilities.

For security, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner has been integrated into the display. Additionally, it houses a robust battery capacity of 5240mAh that supports both wired (90W) and wireless (50W) charging options.

Specifications and Connectivity

The Xiaomi 15 model offers similar features with some enhancements. It includes a high-resolution display with HDR10+ support and Dolby Vision for superior visual quality. The device also supports advanced connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual SIM capabilities.

Audio features include USB Type-C audio compatibility, Hi-Res audio certification, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and a four-microphone array for clear sound capture.

Availability and Pricing Details

The Xiaomi 15 comes in Black, White, and Green colours with pricing starting at Rs. 64,999 for the model featuring 12GB RAM and 512GB storage capacity. Pre-orders are available on Mi.com, Amazon.in, and Xiaomi retail outlets from March 19th to April 2nd.
