Xiaomi 17 Tipped to Launch in India by February 2026, Geekbench Listing Reveals Specs

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next-generation flagship, Xiaomi 17, soon in the global market, including India. The global variant has now been listed on the Geekbench benchmarking website, revealing key specifications. Moreover, the launch timeline for the phone in both the Indian and global markets has been tipped online.

Xiaomi 17 India Launch Likely in February 2026

The global variant of the Xiaomi 17 has now been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website (shared via tipster Abhishek Yadav) with model number 25113PN0EG. According to the listing, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with the Adreno 840 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and runs on Android 16.

The tipster further reveals that Xiaomi may launch the Xiaomi 17 globally in January 2026, with the Indian launch expected in January or February 2026. He also mentioned in the comments that the Xiaomi 17 Pro could potentially be part of the lineup, although this is considered unlikely since the 15 Pro model was previously limited to the Chinese market.

It's also worth noting that tipster Yogesh Brar previously reported that both the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are currently undergoing testing in India. His report also indicates that the Pro and Pro Max variants are not being prepared for global markets.

Xiaomi 17 Specifications

The Xiaomi 17 was originally launched in China back in September. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, it comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The handset runs Android 16 out of the box with HyperOS 3.0 skin on top. It has a 6.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,656x1,220 pixels and supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate.

For imaging, it offers a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, which includes a primary Light Fusion 950 sensor of 50MP with an f/1.67 aperture and a focal length of 23mm, alongside a 50MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide-angle sensor. The phone also has a 50MP selfie camera sensor. Moreover, it gets a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

The Xiaomi 17 starts at CNY 4,499 (approximately Rs 56,000) for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Given that, we expect the phone could be priced at around Rs 50,000 in the country.
