Xiaomi 17 Ultra Launch: How to Watch the livestream
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is launching in China today at 07:00 pm local time or 04:30 pm IST. Those interested in watching the Xiaomi 17 Ultra event live can do so on the company's official Weibo.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to make its debut in India in the first quarter of 2026 alongside the vanilla Xiaomi 17. We expect the Xiaomi 17 Ultra price in China to start from under CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs 89,400).
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Cameras
Lei Jun confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will use a Leica 1-inch Light and Shadow Master main camera, paired with the new Light and Shadow Hunter 1050L sensor. This sensor employs lateral overflow integration capacitor, or LOFIC, technology to deliver a wider dynamic range across challenging lighting conditions.
According to leaks, the 200MP telephoto sensor in the Xiaomi 17 Ultra may be supplied by Samsung and could support continuous optical zoom. Samsung reportedly began mass production of such 200MP zoom sensors in September for major Chinese manufacturers, which matches the timing of Xiaomi's new flagship launch.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has claimed that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition will feature a rotary ring around the circular rear camera array. This ring is expected to act as a physical zoom control, letting users adjust magnification smoothly when shooting photos or recording video, though Xiaomi has not detailed the "Master Zoom Ring" publicly.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Specifications
Beyond the camera setup, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is set to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone will ship with HyperOS 3, which includes on-device AI features designed to support image processing and camera functions, including better scene recognition and smarter exposure decisions.
Xiaomi is also rumoured to be preparing a global version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra that might support satellite communication. This potential international variant would broaden connectivity options for users in regions with poor mobile coverage, although Xiaomi has not officially confirmed satellite support or specific launch markets. Additionally, the phone is also expected to use a 2K LTPO OLED display. Stay tuned to Gizbot for the latest details surrounding the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
