Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Xiaomi 17T series smartphones globally today, highlighting big battery upgrades and Leica camera hardware. Xiaomi's upcoming T series smartphones are expected to sit just under the Xiaomi 17.

The line-up includes the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, which use different Dimensity processors and larger batteries, aiming at longer use between charges during daily tasks and media consumption.

Moreover, the vanilla Xiaomi 17T is also set to make its debut in India on June 4. Along with the phones, Xiaomi will present the Watch S5 (46mm). The smartwatch will debut beside the handsets, adding another device to the company's connected ecosystem during the same showcase.

In Europe, the Xiaomi 17T with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is tipped at €749, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage may start at €999, roughly Rs. 83,950 and Rs. 1,12,000 respectively.

Xiaomi 17T Series Specifications: What to Expect

Specification leaks highlight clear differences between the two Xiaomi 17T series phones, despite several shared parts. Both models are expected to use MediaTek chipsets. The Xiaomi 17T is said to run on a Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro reportedly uses the Dimensity 9500, aimed at flagship-grade performance.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is rumoured to feature a 6.83 inch AMOLED screen, with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The regular Xiaomi 17T may get a smaller 6.59 inch AMOLED display, still FHD+ but with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 17T series phones are expected to offer 32MP selfie cameras.

Camera hardware on the Xiaomi 17T series is tipped to share a common layout but use different primary sensors. The Xiaomi 17T may rely on a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main unit, while the Xiaomi 17T Pro upgrades that to a 50MP Light Fusion 950 sensor. Both could also carry a 50MP 5x telephoto and 12MP ultrawide camera.

The Xiaomi 17T is said to include a 6,500mAh battery with 67W wired charging support. The Xiaomi 17T Pro could move to a 7,000mAh battery, 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Both phones are also expected to feature an IP68/69 rating for resistance to dust and water.
