Xiaomi 17T Series Global Launch Date Confirmed: Check Expected Pricing and Specifications

The Xiaomi 17T series is making its global debut next week. The line-up will include the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. According to an official post, the Xiaomi 17T series will the “biggest T Series upgrade yet”. The announcement comes shortly after Xiaomi announced that the 17 Max would be debuting in China this week.

Xiaomi 17T Series Launch Date and Expected Pricing

The Xiaomi 17T series is launching globally on May 28. According to previous reports, at least one, if not both, models of the Xiaomi 17T series will make their debuts in India. If accurate this will mark the first time the brand unveils a 'T’ series phone in India since the Mi 11T.

Early European pricing leaks suggest that Xiaomi is positioning both devices in the upper mid-range. The Xiaomi 17T with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is tipped to start at €749 (roughly Rs. 83,950), while the Xiaomi 17T Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage could begin at €999 (roughly Rs. 1,12,000).

Xiaomi 17T Series Specifications: What to Expect

Specification sheets from previous reports indicate distinct differences between the two models. Both phones will rely on MediaTek platforms, but the Xiaomi 17T is said to ship with a Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip. The Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to feature the Dimensity 9500, targeted at flagship-level performance.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is rumoured to use a 6.83‑inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The standard Xiaomi 17T is instead expected to include a smaller 6.59‑inch AMOLED screen, still at FHD+ resolution but with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Camera hardware is likely to be shared in several areas. Both handsets are reported to carry 50MP main cameras, with the Xiaomi 17T using a Light Fusion 800 sensor and the Xiaomi 17T Pro upgrading to a Light Fusion 950 sensor. A 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and a 12MP ultrawide camera are expected on both.

Battery and charging specifications could be another major differentiator. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to include a 6,500mAh battery with support for 67W wired charging. The Xiaomi 17T Pro will allegedly step up to a 7,000mAh unit, 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, rounding off a substantial overall upgrade for the series.
