Xiaomi 17 Max Launching on May 21 Alongside the Xiaomi Ear Clip and YU7 GT (2026) EV
Xiaomi is prepping to add yet another smartphone to its flagship 17 series in China this week. The Xiaomi 17 Max will debut as the fifth smartphone in the line-up, following the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra (Review).
Alongside the latest Xiaomi 17 Max, the company is also expected to unveil the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro and its first clip-on true wireless stereo earbuds, reportedly called the Xiaomi Ear Clip. The launch event will additionally mark the debut of the Xiaomi YU7 GT (2026), the company's newest electric SUV aimed at expanding Xiaomi's growing EV portfolio.

Xiaomi 17 Max Launch Date
The Xiaomi 17 Max is launching in China on May 21 at 07:00 pm local time or 04:30 pm IST alongside the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro, Xiaomi Ear Clip, and Xiaomi YU7 GT (2026).
Xiaomi is also expected to launch home appliances during the vent. Xiaomi is also expected to unveil the Xiaomi 17T series in India and globally sometime this month or in early June.
Xiaomi 17 Max Specifications: What to Expect
Xiaomi has already started teasing several details about the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max ahead of its China launch. The smartphone is confirmed to feature Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the same flagship 3nm processor expected to power the other Xiaomi 17 series models. Xiaomi is positioning the 17 Max as a performance-focused flagship with a major emphasis on battery life and camera hardware.
One of the biggest highlights of the Xiaomi 17 Max will reportedly be its massive 8,000mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever featured in the Xiaomi 17 lineup. The large battery capacity is expected to target heavy gamers, content creators, and users looking for extended screen time without frequent charging.

For photography, the Xiaomi 17 Max is confirmed to feature a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup housed inside a square camera module. The setup will include a 200MP primary camera using a large 1/1.4-inch sensor for improved low-light photography and enhanced detail capture. Xiaomi has also teased a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens aimed at versatile photography and long-range zoom capabilities.
On the front, the smartphone will feature a hole-punch display design with a selfie camera positioned at the centre for video calls and self-portraits.The Xiaomi 17 Max is already available for pre-order through Xiaomi's official China website. The handset will launch in Blue and White colour options
