However, our focus here is on the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The two new Xiaomi 17 Pro phones are aimed at competing with the iPhone 17 Pro models and feature a similar design, albeit with a unique second display on the back.

Xiaomi 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max Pricing & Availability
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max price in China starts at CNY 5,999 (around Rs. 74,700) for the 12GB + 512GB variant. The higher configurations with 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB are priced at CNY 6,299 (approximately Rs. 78,500) and CNY 6,999 (about Rs. 87,200), respectively.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Pro price begins at CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs. 62,300) for the 12GB + 256GB model. Other options include the 12GB + 512GB version at CNY 5,299 (around Rs. 66,000), the 16GB + 512GB variant at CNY 5,599 (about Rs. 69,700), and the top-end 16GB + 1TB configuration at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 74,700).
The Xiaomi 17 Pro models come in Black, Cold Smoke Purple, Forest Green and White shades. As of now, there is no word on the availability of the Xiaomi 17 Pro models outside China, although a global launch could take place some time in Q1 or Q2 2026.
Xiaomi 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max Specifications
The Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max bring premium hardware and cutting-edge features, making them standout flagship smartphones. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 3nm Mobile Platform paired with the Adreno 840 GPU, ensuring top-tier performance for gaming, multitasking, and heavy workloads. They come with 12GB or 16GB of LPPDDR5x RAM and storage options of up to 1TB UFS 4.1, all running on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro features a 6.3-inch 1.5K M10 12-bit OLED LTPO display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It also includes a secondary 2.7-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max upgrades to a larger 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED screen with Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0 for improved durability, alongside a 2.9-inch AMOLED secondary display. Both offer 1920Hz PWM dimming and excellent contrast ratios.
On the camera front, both models boast a Leica-engineered triple-lens setup, featuring a 50MP Light Fusion 950L main sensor with Hyper OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 5x telephoto camera. The 17 Pro supports a 20cm telemacro, while the 17 Pro Max extends this to 30cm with a wider f/2.6 aperture. Both phones also feature a 50MP front camera with 4K 60fps video recording.
Other highlights include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio, and IP68 dust and water resistance. Connectivity is equally robust with 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, UWB, NFC, and GPS with NavIC support. Powering the devices is a 6,300mAh battery on the 17 Pro and a massive 7,500mAh on the 17 Pro Max, both supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, along with reverse charging capabilities.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Series Dynamic Back Display
The Dynamic Back Display enhances both productivity and fun with customizable watch faces, AI wallpapers, virtual pets, dynamic notifications, and sticky notes. Users can turn photos into animated AI wallpapers or enjoy the upgraded third-gen virtual pet "Pangda," which reacts to scenarios and gestures. It also delivers real-time updates, including flights, rides, and deliveries, while the flexible pin feature lets users keep schedules, QR codes, or emojis handy.
The back screen doubles as a selfie preview with advanced beauty algorithms and filters. Closing the main display activates Handheld-Console Mode, transforming the device into a retro gaming console with a Bluetooth case.
