Xiaomi Expands Hyper Island Feature to Redmi and Poco Phones with HyperOS 3

Xiaomi is quietly rolling out one of its most talked-about interface upgrades — the pill-shaped Hyper Island feature — to a much wider audience. Previously limited to high-end Xiaomi devices, the feature has now made its way to Redmi and Poco phones through a new HyperOS 3 update.

HyperOS 3 Unlocks Xiaomi’s Hyper Island for Redmi and Poco Users

What’s Hyper Island and Why It Matters

If you’ve seen Apple’s Dynamic Island on iPhones, you’ll immediately recognize the idea. Hyper Island sits at the top of your screen, showing live activities like music playback, call timers, ride status, or battery indicators in a small animated hub.

With HyperOS 3.0.23, Xiaomi has reportedly removed the restriction that kept this feature exclusive to premium models. According to insider PaperKing13, the change unlocks Hyper Island for nearly every phone eligible for HyperOS 3 — including mid-range and budget models from Redmi and Poco.

The Small Catch for Budget Users

There’s one limitation worth noting. On devices with lower RAM configurations (around 6GB or less), the smooth transition animations are disabled. The feature itself still works — you’ll see the island and can interact with it — but it won’t have the same polished, fluid feel seen on higher-end devices like the Xiaomi 15T or 15T Pro.

It’s a fair compromise. Xiaomi seems to be prioritizing performance and stability over flashy visuals, ensuring the experience remains functional even on entry-level phones.

Rollout Timeline and Eligible Devices

The rollout is happening in phases, depending on region and device tier.

Starting October–November 2025:

  • Redmi Note 14 Pro+, Note 14 Pro, Note 14
  • Poco F7, F7 Pro, F7 Ultra, X7 series

Starting November–December 2025:

  • Redmi 15, 14C, 13, 13x, Note 13 Pro
  • Poco F6, F6 Pro, X6 Pro, M7, M6 series, C75

Starting December 2025–March 2026:

  • Poco F5, F5 Pro, X6, M7 Pro 5G, C85
  • Redmi Note 14 5G lineup, Note 13 Pro+, 15C, and other 5G variants

This phased rollout means mid-range and budget users will start seeing Hyper Island over the next few months as part of the broader HyperOS 3 upgrade plan.
