Xiaomi Mi 7 new render leaked again: Looks better than Mi Mix 2

Xiaomi is expected to announce its flagship smartphone Mi 7 in the coming days most probably at the MWC 2018. The company has already confirmed that it is holding a press conference at MWC 2018 further hinting at a lot of other possibilities. However, from what are have heard and seen so far, many have suggested that the company will most likely announce the Mi 7 handset.

While exciting days are ahead, Xiaomi Mi 7 has been the subject of rumors and leaks in the past couple of days. Just last week we saw alleged press render of the said device where we further saw the device from the back side. But there was little that we could make out from that render. While we were hoping for something to pop up, that has just happened. Well, a fresh new render of Xiaomi Mi 7 has yet again appeared online and this time the leaked image reveals a lot more information than the previous one.

The newly leaked render shows the front portion of the smartphone and our initial impression was that it looked like a flipped version of Mi Mix 2. But again that might be the design Xiaomi is going with the new handset. Besides, now there will be a slight bezel on the top while the bottom part will be engulfed in the screen.

Moreover, Mi 7 design seems to be better than Mi Mix 2 mostly because the top bezel will house some sensors that are crucial to being placed in that part. Apart from that bezel is very thin. Notably, if we consider this leak to be the real deal then the handset could have a higher screen-to-body-ratio than Mi Mix 2. In any case in 2018 we will be seeing a lot of smartphone manufacturers jumping into the full-screen display bandwagon and they will basically launch new smartphones based on such design.

In addition to the display, the new render of Xiaomi Mi 7 also reveals a dual camera setup at the rear along with a flash and the fingerprint scanner. The Mi 7 is expected to come with top of the line specs so we are hoping to see better cameras on this device. Meanwhile, rumors have said that the smartphone camera will be integrated with AI to deliver top photography for the consumers.

You can see the MI branding and over the smartphone has a clean look from behind with slightly curved edges, metal build and the antenna lines are also not visible. The cameras also don't protrude out. All in all, it looks like the Xiaomi has hit the right nail in terms of design. But that is all that we can make out from the new renders. As for other expected feature of the device, previous leaks have suggested that the Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with Snapdragon 845 chip, 6-inch edge-to-edge display with minimal bezels with 18:9 aspect ratio.

Further, the device is also speculated to come in two variants which will consist of a 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage model and another one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The dual camera setup is tipped to sport two 19MP sensors with an aperture of f1.7 and 4x optical zoom. Up front, the smartphone may feature a 16MP image sensor.

The Mi 7 is expected to be backed by a 3950mAh battery should offer dual-SIM dual-standby support. Furthermore, the smartphone is said to be equipped with AI abilities.
